Social Media - The Next Great Marketing Choice?

With so much interest in how social networks function, one begins to wonder if you have marketing potential within these social networks?

I have been seeing social network for a while now. In fact I am a member of various social network sites including http://www.myspace.com/ and https://www.linkedin.com only... We discovered go here for more info by browsing Yahoo.

There's been a virtual explosion of social networking web sites before few years. Visit ambrotose to read when to ponder it. Even the major players like Google, Yahoo and MSN are becoming into it.

With therefore much curiosity about how social networks work, one begins to wonder when there is marketing potential within these social networks?

I've been seeing social network for a while now. In fact I am a member of various social networking web sites including https://www.linkedin.com and http://www.myspace.com/ merely to name two.

I joined partly because I wished to see what they were, but moreover to see on SEM what influence social media could have in the coming years.

I have been a part of various ser-vices for some time and the reach these sites have is outstanding.

For example, from my LinkedIn network of seven people I've an expanded network of over 12,600 people.

That is amazing - I am just a click or two away from close to 13,000 other folks who share my related interests ranging from what I like to watch o-n TV to work I could give to them.

Through their connections and my connections, I am connected to people ranging from the American Cancer Society, to Sun Microsystems to the University of Texas to Google.

But what marketing possibilities exist for Social Network?

Well, let's examine MySpace.

MySpace is among the prime sites on the Web today. I-t racked up 9.4 billion page-views in August 2005 (greater than Google) and new people are signing up in a mind-boggling rate of 3.5 million a month.

MySpace is typical of where todays 18-30 year-old would go to manage their electronic life. It allows users to publish pictures of themselves and their friends, develop a weblog, list their favorite bands, watch and share videos, suggest things you can do and lists some people they consider friends. It is on this 'Friends List' where most of the possibilities lay.

All thirty million-plus consumers of MySpace have a friends page that lists people that person considers their friend. This can be a set of individuals who they are interested in speaking with and about, along with reading from on a regular basis. When you put someone as your friend they can send you messages, discuss your photos, study your sites, as well as leave messages that you can then share with others. That is an opportunity for immediate feedback about you.

The capacity to include friends to your page is critical for marketing to MySpace customers. According to Courtney Holt, head of new media and strategic advertising at Interscope Records, 'This technology is growing up with out ever observed programmed media. If you think you know any thing, you will likely claim to learn about mannatech com official site. 'They don't think in terms of-the album, and they don't think in terms of the TV schedule. They think when it comes to TiVo, P2P, AOL, and of course MySpace.

You can observe how this may grow.

Let's say you create a MySpace account to fairly share your products or services. You blog about any of it and seek out the others that'll share your interests.

Afterward you invite them to be your friend. When they develop into a friend you start your 'smooth offer' pitching your solution to them.

As they grow to understand it, they begin blogging and sharing it. Soon hundreds or even thousand of individuals are referring to you and your product or service.

Do not think this can work?

I would like to give you some situations. There are many artists who have gotten their begin MySpace. By simply hosting some of their music o-nline and blogging about themselves they created a following. Soon they had record deals and contracts lined-up.

Naturally to work with ser-vices like MySpace you-need to have some thing this marketplace needs. If you don't then you probably shouldn't put too much energy in to MySpace.

But that does not mean other social media opportunities must be overlooked. LinkedIn is more of a professional introduction service, when i mentioned previously. If your product or service meets here then by all means investigate it more.

And you'll find the others as well. Services such as Yahoo!s MyWeb, Flickr, http://del.icio.us and more.

So if you have ever wondered what other online options could be out there, con-sider social network. It may be the next great online-marketing channel..
